Sue Didelot

Sue began drawing at the age of six on bulletin boards at school in Southwest Louisiana, and became addicted to creating art ever since. She is proficient in oil, acrylic and pastel, and is also an accomplished mural painter. Sue's mural painting ability is obvious when one views the exterior walls of Gallery By The Lake, and her favorite mural the interior lobby of the Charleston Hotel downtown which depicts the original reception desk of the hotel.

Her subject matter varies from landscape to fantasy, covering a large variety between, all executed in a loose impressionistic style. Her portraits favor "Renoir's style." She always injects an air of mystery into her work, giving the receiver a chance to wonder and perhaps join the scene.

Her work has generated many awards through a long professional career. It has been exhibited widely and appears in private and public collections throughout the area. A member of Association Louisiana Artists since 1980, she shares studio space and exhibits most frequently at Gallery by the Lake.
